Earlier this year Congress passed a bill ending the Medicaid “Continuous Coverage Requirement” provision that was part of the Public Health Emergency put in place January 2020. As a result, beginning May 2023, Health First Colorado, our state Medicaid program, will resume the normal eligibility renewal processes. Renewals / redeterminations of everyone currently enrolled in Health First Colorado will be completed over the next 12 months. If you are currently a Health First Colorado member there a recommended actions for you to take, as this may impact your health insurance coverage. Per the Department of Healthcare Policy and Financing, Members should

• • Update their contact information so we can reach them.
  • Respond to and sign renewal paperwork to make sure they keep their Health First Colorado and CHP+ coverage if they are still eligible.
